Everybody can look better than they physically are, but everybody can also look worse than the physical shell of their being. How so?

On some level, attractiveness is based on physical features such as the face, body, etc. But beyond that, personality can enhance one's attractiveness. For example, if your lover will undoubtedly find you more attractive, given that he/she recognizes the good side of your personality. But somebody who only recognizes the 'bad side' or a negative personality from a person will usually see beyond the physical beauty, and instead have their views of the person tinted by the negative effects. So what this means is that although physical beauty is important, personality is a huge factor.

Confidence, for example, can make a person shine, even when we aren't, in actually, any more different than we could be.

So we are neither more better looking than we really are, physicallly. But personality can make us seem more better looking.

I think confidence has more to do with how pretty you come off to someone then how you actually look. Everyone has a different opinion on whats pretty some people think skinny model looking women are pretty, and other would think more average looking everyday people are pretty some even like bigger women, it varies from person to person. There is no ideal look. I do think we in most cases are better looking then we think we are, and maybe dont see it that way because how we see ourselves is different then the way someone would see you if they were looking right at you, your in your body you cant see yourself through thier eyes. if that makes sense.

yes inside we are better people and on the outside to, but it just takes awhile for others and us to believe that we are beautiful than we actually really are, and because we think that we are all beautiful we can than make better choices in life!!

I guess it would depend on the individual and their ego size. I have known hideous, fat, acne-covered girls who thought they were SEXXXY, and then there are others who are just absolutely beautiful but always think they're too fat or have a big nose or something. It's all a matter of self-esteem.

we are what we think we are. and as long as we are young, we think about looking better. but the moment we grow old, our idea about beauty changes as physical beauty is overshadowed with wrinkles.

hence, it is better to think about looking better at heart than mere physical beauty that is superficial and someday has to fade away with time.

people really arent ugly. they may have flaws but those flaws can be fixed. for instance, i have really crooked teeth, so when people talk to me, i feel like they notice my teeth but they dont realize how pretty my eyes are. if i fixed my teeth, people's attention will be on my eyes (which are beautiful) and they'll look at me as being beautiful. since my teeth are ugly, people are giong to look at me as being ugly because my teeth stand out more than anything.
