I was gonna throw some tunes in my iPod today, but when I connected the iPod it never showed up on iTunes or my PC, I checked the cable and I'm pretty sure its fine, I also checked all the USB ports and they're working fine, so I have no idea why it won't pick up the iPod. It's the first time this happens. I also restarted my pc and it still didn't work. HELP!!!

Apple has a whole system to remedy this problem. You have to "reset" the ipod by holding down two of the buttons. I think it's the center button and the one above it, but I'm not 100%. I think you have to hold it down for like 10 seconds. If this doesn't work, you can do a google search for how to do it properly.

here's the only page i could find about it in my brief search

This happened to me a couple days ago, and it turned out that my iPod had frozen. Try rebooting it. To do this, slide the Hold button to locked and then back to unlocked, then press and hold the Menu and Center buttons until the screen goes blank and the Apple logo appears. Then reconnect it to the sync cable. If that doesn't work, your sync cable or USB port might have failed.
