All the time in my job. Actually, there is no team there, but I have frequently taken the blame for something to keep them from eating the front counter people. It's worth it, they won't fire me, and it gets me extra consideration from the people who can and will make my life really miserable otherwise (front counter takes in the jobs, and schedules due dates, lol!)
