You think but you aren't sure, I think you are just fooling yourself, after 17 years she walked out , but she will never walk back in. It takes a lot of guts to leave , just wondering how to tell them or how to do it but once you are gone , you'll stay gone. I wouldn't sit there wanting for her to come back because in my opinion , she is long gone forever , never to return. If you were newly weds and had a little misunderstanding, she left real upset, them she'll be back , but 17 years there is no way she'll ever be back. Get out and find someone else to spend your time with or you'll be a old withered up man still waiting for her to return.

You know what I've learned over the years?
Men love the "thrill" of the chase. Surprisingly though, women love to be chased. Once you start to act as if you "have" your wife, you lose her. She wants to know that you are actively pursuing her. I'll tell you what you do to get that. Don't have sex with her for about a month. Court her again. You'll notice that your sex drive will fuel that new experience in you. You have to make it harder for yourself to get what you would normally get with no hassle.
She found that in the new lover. The thrill of being chased and pursued. It's and excitement that wears out quickly once the pursued is caught. She's probably feeling the effects of that right now and would love any pursuit you can give her.

The grass always LOOKS greener on the other side of the fence. Most people didn't marry someone they felt was "OK" at the time. Love ebbs and flows. It will with a new lover too. Sorry your wife is finding out the hard way; it sucks for you. But it sounds like she's the one missing out. Best wishes.

the new always wears off the honeymoon always ends no matter who its with, but what happens the next time, and u get rejected and hurt again. most people don't take a spouse back because they fear the same thing will happen again, because if they left u once they will do it again, because they want excitement. she may regret it for awhile till she gets back home and gets bored again. find someone who hasn't betrayed u, because most of the time u can't get past the betrayal, as u will always know she picked him over u. she may regret it but it can happen again.

My wife left me for a short while for an affair, and yes, she regretted it big time. So long as it stays in the fantasy arena, its fun and sexy and she loves it. But the moment she actually has to depend on him for anything, the whole thing falls like a house of cards.

I really don't think you should get back with her. 17 years is a long time and if she could give it up like that it doesn't mean enough to her.

Nope I never left for another man, but I left because my guy was a complete jerk and when I found someone new he was wonderful! Even though our relationship gets boring at times I never wish to go back to my ex. Thats my personal experience.

Well if you take her back and there's not a thing wrong with that you have to do what your heart feels but this time you put the pants on.

A leopard doesn't change her spots
She now realizes what she gave up
Why would you take her back? What if she gets bored with you again?
