ipod wont work?

everytime i plug my ipod usb cable in my computer it starts beeping madly and wont stop unitl i take the cable out?
it isint my usb port because everything else works when i plug it in...like my data bar.
and i have also installed itunes.

Reset the IPod.

Restart it nad Swith on...

give it back to the store Or through it

send it to the apple company for repair
