She doesn't technically have the right unless she is your guardian and you are a minor. If that is not the case then it is your business. If, however, she is supporting you in any way (giving you money, letting you live with her for free, etc.) then principle would tell you that you should divulge some information regarding your finances.
Confront her about her curiosity if you feel she is becoming invasive. It will only get worse if you don't. You will continue to be bothered everytime she asks to the point she may say something off topic which you accidentally judge as being invasive and you may become defensive. It's like anything that nags at you about a person. The more often it happens the more it eats away at you until you start to despise that other person. Confront her in a sensitive way (she is your mom, after all) and tell her you appreciate her advice and concern but you are no longer a kid that she has to watch out for.

that depends. how old are you..? under legal age, under her roof? ..Yes.
living with her and an adult? ..perhaps... to NO..
married ? NO..NO NO.
Unless you are getting assistance from..
Taking monies from someone else they have a right i believe to know if truth in lending, just like banks do..
borrowing money from friends or family isn't smart..
Knowing your finances gives an air of superiority over the other.. and, too that one party can't manage their life.
If that is the case , get counseling from a reputable planner, not necessarily family.
No one is free who has a lender, or debt to anyone..
Ask her if she expects too then for her to report to you her financial state.. ? if your an adult.. not to be asked if child./teen. If she taught you correct financial handling, she needs to trust your judgments sometime or other.
However, if your are blatantly mishandling, and living under her roof as an adult, pay up, or get out! maturity comes only when acting mature, not by stating one is..

If your mom is butting into your business she needs to be told to butt out. Try telling her (in as kind a way as you can) that you are an adult and want to make choices on your own. Tell her that you will ask her for advice if you want help, but otherwise she needs to let you do things for yourself.
If she doesn't know that you are upset, she won't change her behavior and you will continue to be upset and get more upset. Honesty is always the best policy.
If you are still a child (meaning underage and living in her house), she has a right to know if you are in trouble financially. She's your mom and she probably just wants to help you.
Try to remember that you love her. But loving her doesn't mean having to put up with her nosing into your business.

If your over 18 and mentally capable of handling your own affairs then NO way...She has no rights unless she's the one paying the bills etc, which I couldn't see that happening if your capable. married or not doesn't make a difference.

Only if you are a minor. If you are an adult, thank her for her concern and tell her your finances are under control and not something for her to worry about.

Listen dear, parents are surely afraid that their sons or daughters would be delinquents because of money but being comprehensive towards such attitude will solve the problem.

If you are a minor dependent of her hers, then yes. Otherwise, she doesn't have a right to know anything about your finances. Of course you should say something to her -- you shouldn't stop talking to your mother completely!

i suppose i depends on your age. if you are over16 and/or working then your financial state is your own affair. if you are classed as a minor your mom might feel it her business .
