Name her what you like. The origin of the name is not as important as the way it sounds and rather or not you think it will fit your child. I'm an example of the that, my parents are not french but both my first and middle names are French. Its all about what you like. Priella, is a very pretty name and I love the fact that you chose it because it has meaning.

I think that would be just fine. It's quite a pretty sounding name, and the meaning is wonderful.
I have a friend who named her last little girl an indian name, and it really fit her.
All names started out with some ethnic background.

I know that some people have a peeve about using a name - if it is not in your heritage. But, I absolutely see no problem in it! Use a name that you love. I did not know that Priella was an Indian name. Very interesting!

I think it is very pretty indeed, and I love the meaning. It sounds like a very gentle, loving little girl's name! When she was old enough, she could choose to be called "Ella" or "Perry." Very nice.

Oh, and it doesn't matter if your not Indian if you both like it. I think most Indian names are very pretty.

If your husband & you really like that name, then that's all that really matters. I'm wondering what middle name you have picked out to go with this name? I think a one syllable middle name or a short two syllable name would go nicely.

It's just fine! My baby girl will have a name different from her ethnicity - I think it's really common these days. If you love the name - go for it :)

Name your girl watever you want her to be named. It doesnt matter where the name comes from, its what you name her and how it will effect her life 15 years after she was born!
