There is this person in my grade who used to be my best friend, but then she got really self-absorbed. Nowadays when she makes the conversation about her, I just flat-out say, "Dude, you're really arrogant." then she gets all mad.
it's pretty much hilarious, but somehing else I could do is change what we're talking about.
(the girl I'm talking about wants attention so badly she gave up sweets for lent just so everybody would feel bad for her)

LOL! Oh no!!!! We had one of those at college. He used to go out with the girl that lived next door to me. I used to hear his toppings through the walls! The best way to annoy them is to counter-top them with a BS story of your own or prove their facts wrong. This dude, however, was ultra-resilient to my retorts, even after explicit sarcastic mockery.

first off....she's next to you...not in front of you so dont look next to you...

I normally walk away. Sounds like a girl I use to work with...that, and she's ALWAYS right about EVERYTHING because she's just a big know-it-all!!

I usually top them back. It can get pretty hilarious. Just keep one upping them. They apparently have no idea they're making a complete a.s.s.e.s of themselves.
