Ok this is how I see it. When Alex retires he will be considered the greatest of all time, but then Pujols will catch up and he'll be the greatest. David he's a great player, but he's not as great as those 2 guys. Nevertheless he's a potential hall of famer if he continues to hit like he does for another 6 or 7 years.

If you mean this season I think Pujols will win MVP, AROD will have a better year than last year, and Ortiz will continue doing what he's doing.

Ok lets see since Pujols is 26 we’ll do the stats for the players up to 26.
Pujols had 250 hr 1159 hits average .332 5 all-stars 1 golden glove 1 batting title
A-Rod had 298 hr 1354 hits average .308 7 all-stars 1 golden gloves 1 batting title and 2 hr titles
Ortiz had 56 hr 393 hits average .266

With all those factors in I think A-Rod is the better player he can field which Ortiz is a liability and has mobility where Pujols doesn’t he has more speed then both of them combined.
A-rod will go down as an all-time great.

To start with - for the red sox fan that said Pujols isn't that great defensively - he may not be the best first baseman (he does have a Golden Glove, though) but he is a 100 times better with the glove than big papi. And to answer the question, I think A-Rod will have the best season of the three. He's in the opt out year of his contract, which is almost like being in the last year of a contract and history says guys like him put up great numbers in those seasons.

A-Rod will have a slightly better year than Albert Pujols. You can't included David Ortiz in this conversation because he is not a complete ball player. He is only a DH and doesn't nothing to help the team defensively.

Albert Pujols will win the MVP he should have 4 already and Ortiz I think with a better lineup will win the MVP, A-Rod will have a good year but not good enough for New York, and redsoxfan Pujols won the gold glove last year!

A-rod hands down. Albert is good but A-rod's better. Why did you include David Ortiz, he's only a DH he wont do anything defensively for the Red Sox anyways. So my answer is A-rod. Go YANKEES!!!

ALBERT PUJOLS...hands down--no brainer. Ryan Howard should be on that list---Travis Hafner as well...I'll take both over Arod or Ortiz when it comes to the bat.

pujlos, he is going to be the best of all-time when he is done, if your flipping through the channels and the cardinals are playing and want to see a homerun all you have to do is wait for his at bat
