I agree with the above.
Plus, it might be you have a bad modem/switch.

If you are plugged directly into the cable modem, reset it. Or call the cable company to check it from their end. And remember, it might be faulty (this was my problem 2 weeks ago).

If you are connected into a router/switch, again reset it. Or download and update the firmware (check their web site). Or the unit might be faulty! Plug into a different port (sometimes only one goes bad). Or have someone else plug in to see if they go down the same time.

Ussually this is caused by bad cables or a bad router, you can wiggle the cable to check and be sure its sturdy, but its tough to diagnose without at least some spare parts to swap out and see what does or doesn't fix the problem.
