I keep hearing people talk about how the terrorists will attack here if we leave Iraq. Aside from the fact that that's utterly ridiculous (if they were prepared to attack us, they'd have done so by now), why would we LET them? Why aren't our borders secure enough to prevent another terrorist attack? Clearly, the people saying this have no faith in our national security, so I guess my question is, shouldn't we be spending money on protecting ourselves, rather than spending money on "building democracy" in Iraq?

Absolutely! We should focus on our own nation.. catch the terrorists that are here and find ways to secure our borders rather than spinning our wheels in a much less effective venue. Priorities my good man, priorities!

I wish I had faith in 'Homeland Security' but is it fathomable that the terrorists, who got by White House defense, haven't been blessed by US open borders? This Lebanese woman at link below who is in the know says terrorists are paying MS-15 group $25,000-30000 to help get over the border. Also see the other link for more good news.Seems like the safety & welbeing of the US s/b in top 2 most imperative duties we are supporting this govt for.

I have asked this type of question many times. People on here accuse me of loving the terrorist.

Border security is the number one way to prevent another terrorist attact period.

Bringing it closer to home, I have read on here many postings criticizing Canadians for letting terrorists into America. Ummm, it is the American border patrol who determines who is granted passage into America...not Canadians. Deflection of responsibility is a shameful thing. Its much easier to deflect the blame...

It is not our responsibilty to protect our own borders from the terrorists unless we think that terrorists are really causing or will cause us loss/damage and we do not want to invite such loss/damage. We can act like ostriches that if we do not look at the terrorists, they will not cause us any harm. We can act like fools to please the terrorists and bribe them. Or, we can keep the terrorists continuosly engaged and make them run, run and run for years and decades. If you allow, terrorism, just like corruption or cancer, will grow fast in peace.

Good point! Yes it IS. I wonder why both our president and Congress (who funds things like border security systems and fences) have failed the American people?

Great question, This is the reason i'm not buying the terror lie. While americans are running around looking for "islamo-fascists" illegal aliens and foriegn interests are taking over the country.
