All these questions have so many people saying they don't want sex outside a meaningful relationship. What on earth is so wrong with casual sex?

I see it like this, a balanced diet does not always taste good, but you can lead a long, healthy life with it. Chocolate, on the other hand, is fun and delicious to taste - but you cannot eat only chocolate all your life, right?

Strict and conservative people will say youngsters to stay away from chocolate & only eat healthy balanced diet. But does it mean, in reality, can't we eat some chocolate at some point in our life - as long as we know what to eat at any certain point of time in our life?

In the same way, people should focus on having serious relationships. But at certain times, can't they enjoy the pleasure of casual sex (as long as they aren't cheating, and as long as they are well educated about sex)?

And don't try brainwashing me into thinking that casual sex leads to STDs. It is the LACK of PROTECTION and LACK of HONESTY that leads to STDs.

Wow your missing the big point about a relationship. I mean if you have a relationship with its only purpose is a mutual agreement to raise kids yea I see your point but thats an oversimplified view of human relationships. History is the important thing people need to know your dependable and trustworth. So really it comes down to the individuals in the relationship. But you talking about "casual" sex is just compounding a bigger delima, namly the fact that sex isn't casual. Thats just cold. I mean if everyone thought of sex as a handshake and that a serious relationship is just a mutal agreement that would work great! But the fact is sex is an individual experience, you might be able to find someone who understands you being with other people sometimes, but maybe those other people what understand you being with them. You can drive individuals nuts with the fact that your not meeting there expectation nor or you making them fulling satisfied. Weather you believe it or not some people like to be kissed before their f'd and held before you go. Human intereaction is more complicated then your giving it credit for.... atleast its suppose to be... besides that sex is a different interaction, its a social interaction, not like eating which is a personal interaction. Now if you were talking about masterbating yea go for it when ever you want, but sex takes two sometimes three people and you really think they feel the same way as you? I mean again I state it some people don't have sex just for sex sake, thats really a naive view of social interaction, but hey it goes on in the clubs everyday... see what its doing for society!!!!

There is nothing wrong with casual sex, but when
someone is in a relationship then there are
different views about sex. A relationship between
two people that want only them involved is normal,
and to have sex outside of that relationship is
un-normal. Why have a relationship at all if all you
want to do is screw everyone, best to stay single
use protection and do what you want with whom
you want. You have studied up on casual sex and
I see you are pretty good on that , now you need
study up on relationships so that you will under-
stand why people do not like sex outside of their
realm.

You shouldn't have a balanced diet that doesn't taste good because you won't be able to stick to it obviously.Chocolate is great if you know you are going to be able to eat the chocolate when it isn't interfering with your health. And I am not talking about std's either. I used to love chocolate so that is why I found a diet that is good for me and tastes great too.
