Coyotes have larger eyes in comparison to their skull size which makes it easier to see at night as well as:
-Large ears for detecting the small animals it eats
-Both long and short legs depending on the habitat(desert vs woods)
-Large paws(desert variety) for less sinking in the sand.
-curved kanines for a good grip.

The best way to illustrate this would be to look up several species and notice the habitat they live in, and compare.

Their large ears enable them to hear small prey. Their legs all ow them to pounce on prey and run pretty fast in the woods. Their teeth help them eat and their coats help them blend into their surroundings.
