Oh dear, dodgy kebab was it? You shouldn't eat those whilst driving. Next time, pull over and lean out the window rather than over the passenger seat.

You have several choices. If you cleaned up the vomit stain successfully, it shouldn't continue to smell. Take some Borax and make a paste with water where the vomit stain was and agitate it into the upholstery. Allow it to dry and vacuum it up. While you are letting it dry, take an open container of baking soda and leave it in the car to absorb the odor.

When my child was a toddler this happened alot . We happened to stop at a dry cleaner/ laundry mat to wash her car-seat, but the seat straps were unable to go into the washer. Now here is the secret the dry cleaner loaned us a squirt bottle with a homemade formula of water, a little bit of ammonia and a few drops of dish soap, like Joy. She said they use it on almost everything, and it doesn't discolor the fabric.
Worked great every time.

If it's a plastic fabric test a corner spot before you do this so nothing ' bleaches out '. Usually the best cleanser/disinfectant is Clorox bleach. Make sure it has ' Chlorine ' in it and it says so.
