Hey, is there anything wrong if I love the American Idiot album, thought I'm mostly into heavy metal?
Now I love the album American Idiot cause Green Day has done a perfect musical epic and everything is awesome.
Though I'm aware they're pop-punk,
I hate groups like

My Chemical Romance
Good Charlotte (I loathed them)
Simple Plan
Cuteness is what I Aim For

and no way I will like them

Hey, there is absolutely nothing wrong with liking Green day if you are into heavy metal. I love playing metallic on the guitar and red hot chili peppers. I love Green day and I love Led Zeppelin! Its okay to hate somethings and love others. I have to admit I used to hate pop and I only listened to rock and heavy metal. Now pop is invading my play list. My friends think I am crazy for liking rock and yet they love Green day so I don't know I don't think there is anything wrong with liking Green day and heavy metal. Rock On!

Hey man - don't pigeon hole your self into whether it's OK to like stuff because you are this or you are that. If you like it then it's cool. F*ck anyone who tries to tell you that it's not 'Metal" enough to listen to Green Day. I am a Metal Head too and have been for 15 years and I love that album too. Who's gonna tell me not to listen to it....no one that's who. I dislike all the bands you mentioned (especially MCR! Ohh I f*cking hate that stupid, crappy @ss band and it's 12 years old followers!) and I love all those bands in your second list (except AC/DC, kinda boring if you ask me)....but when it al comes down to it...it's all music and that is what makes life all the more interesting.

well that`s a bit weird but is absolutely all right.You can like whatever you want to,it`s meant for you to like only certain things.I think that you made a good choice by appreciating american idiot.Sincerely it`s not a totally punk or hard album but is something very special and original.I hope they keep giving us amazing tunes!

It's all good because you like it. One shouldn't be embarrassed for liking music others might not think is cool. On a given day I might listen to 10 different styles of music. It's good to have a wide variety of taste.

feeling like you have a little less testasterone are ya? its ok they had some good guitar in that album and im pretty sure if they were provided a bat they would eat either the head of the wing so your good to go :).

you should be able to appreciate all music.There is nothing wrong with liking music that is different that what you normally listen to.Obviously you are wise and know good music, especially since you like American Idiot.

Awe, there's nothing wrong with that, you must fear that just because you love this album probably makes you think you're less of guy or headbanger. You're great and have great taste in music.

they do have good song's like "i'm no ok" and"i don't love you"!
