Arrange public anti-iran demos throughout the UK. Arrange for the demonstators to be 'tooled and fuelled'. Arrange for the demo to 'get out of hand' and regrettably mosques and their occupants get destroyed as a righteous demonstration of anti-Persian feeling.Round up all the muslim scum in the UK. Beat them up and parade them on TV, mocking Allah, Mohammed and Islam. Tell their pres mustafajihad he's got 5 min b4 the bombs start falling.. and in case any other countries get funny ideas arrange preemptive nuclear strikes on Peking and Moscow. Prob sorted! (then you can have all the lick-spittle cowardly hypocritical negotiations you want!)

He's walking the fence. Everyone knows Mr. Bush is looking for a simple reason to run into Iran. If Blair over reacts, the sailors die. If he invades, he's accused of being a war monger, like Bush, and the price of oil and gasoline go up three times what they are now. Plus, the world's economy falls into a deep re session.
Iran's playing a game. They want out of these sanctions and now they have something to dangle in the faces of the West. Also, it doesn't do the leaders any harm at home to show these sailors to their own people to keep the support of their government high.
It'll be several more weeks of cat and mouse. The sailors will admit it was all their fault and they'll be released to a neutral country say, Jordan. Then, when they get back to Britain, they'll tell the real story and how they were forced to say these things against their will.
This is why it's so difficult to have peace in this part of the world. They don't want peace; they want death to all who don't believe the way they do.

These sailors/marines should never have been put in this situation, did the Iranians just appear from nowhere, the mother ship should have been protecting them and when any suspect vessel came anywhere near them they should have been stopped,if they wouldn't stop blow them out of the water.
As this did not happen then just say sorry to the Iranians it wont happen again, there are military lives at stake here .
The last thing we need is American interfearence in this matter.

I believe that US Sailors would experience exactly the same treatment and contrary to what you think, the US would not attack Iran to get them back. If there is one thing that could surely get those men and women killed is an attack on Iran.
Prime Minister Blair needs to find a diplomatic solution not a military solution to this problem. I'm a US citizen and have much more faith in his ability to negotiate the freedom of those sailors than anyone in US

If the only thing the Iranians understand is violence then why did our 'brave' sailors not give them some instead of meekly giving up??
Was it because they had a woman amongst them?? What has the Royal Navy come to? This is where political correctness has got us.
Imagine if they had a 'young Mum' at the battle of Trafalgar!

As an American, I stand ready to encourage our country do whatever the UK would deem helpful to rescue the sailors. If the crew members are not returned, in absolutely perfect condition, immediately, something must be done. To fail to act would be to invite further abuse by Iran.
The least we could do would be to blockade their ports and shut off the transportation of petroleum. This might be the perfect time to take strong action to terminate their support of terrorists groups and provocation against the UK, US and neighbouring Middle Eastern nations.

Blair could threaten to take out their only oil refinery and see how they like being without gasoline for a little while. And he could shut down exports to Iran, but he probably won't. The UN, as usual, is absolutely useless. Iran knows that.
In the US we learned how to handle hostage situations after watching first hand how not to handle them. That's why Carter is still remembered as the worst president in our history. (He's now working on being the worst ex-president in our history.)
I just hope Blair will show some strength.
By taking hostages from Iraqi waters it shows that Iran is confident that no one will do anything to stop them from committing any act of war they feel like committing.
Someone needs to teach them a lesson, but they're betting no one will.

What should he do, act like Bush and start a war. At least he would be more justified. There are hostages being held. Not like the WMD like Bush lied about.
If Blair started a war, would it be worth it, what would the outcome be? How many people would loose their lives, including Americans. You know we would help them, they are our biggest and best allie.
I guess your aren't old enoughto remember all of the US hostages held by Iran back in the 80's. They were held for over a year.
What would you do. Would you actually put an entire country at risk?

BLAIR IS A DISGRACE
You would have thought that humilating our troops on global tv would have stirred a little spunk into the labour party, what is wrong with this country today, jesus christ.
