we know our babys sex next month, and from day 1 my husband and i have been hoping its a girl. i have nothing wrong with boys, but my heart has always been set on having a girl.

because its a 50/50 chance we're having a boy, id like to know any reasons i could be excited for having a boy?

example: boys are usually mommas boys :)

We have desperatly wanted a little girl and we have three boys, we are now pregnant with twin girls, yeah. I would never trade my boys for anything. They are the most wonderful children. Their immaginations are endless. They can see dragons in clouds and protect mommy from the aliens invading the house. They worry about me, they bring me things that I need and help me around the house so that I dont' get tired. They follow their daddies lead and treat me like a princess. They are gentle and loving, but when they go outside or play with their friends, they rough house and catch sankes and bugs, but then will bring me a flower along with the bugs. Boys can be wonderful if they are raised in a loving home. I know the longing to have a girl, we have waited 7 years. But those 7 years with my 3 boys have been magical and full of adventure. Plus there are less clothes and shoes to buy. they really are cheaper.

When i first got pregnant.. I am crazy for a girl! I even look at model picture of a girl just hoping that it will be a girl! It's been 9 year back then... I had a wonderfully boy... Day one he was born till now... He never give me hard time and I thank god for that! The only thing.. boys tend to be a little sloppy... I also believe that the bond btw mom n son is much more stronger... But watch out.. the grew so fast!! Enjoy as much as u can! Good Luck!

I wouldn't say that boys are "usually" mamas boys, but they do LOVE their moms. My daughter is a little pill, to put it mildly. And it's not just her age -- she's been that way almost from Day One. I was actually a little nervous about baby no. 2 (my son) being as difficult as baby no. 1 and that I wouldn't be able to handle it. Luckily, he was really easy -- slept all the time, didn't need holding every minute, etc. He loves me more than anyone and can be as sweet as can be. He's so CUTE! Don't get me wrong -- I've always felt my daughter is so CUTE too. I'm talking about their personalities, too, not just looks. Hopefully, when that little baby comes out, you won't believe how much you love him/her from the very first second.

You wouldn't be excited to know you were having a son?

Anyways, I have three boys. Boys are simpler, no you cant buy the pink frilly clothes and shoes and hair things- but it is nice. You dont have to worry about so many things. When we go pregnant the last time, we were thinking maybe it was a girl, since I already had two boys- it was another boy!

I love my boys!!

Just think about your girl being a teenager- there are so many things that you dont have to worry about (as much) rape, pregnancy, molestation. Mood, attitude. I know how I was when I was growing up!

If its not a girl now, that doesnt mean the next one wont be- you will have the baby you are meant to have. We just hope for them to be healthy, the sex shouldnt matter...

The old thing about wanting a boy goes back to the old days when only sons or male relatives could inherit estates. It became a mind set that has been very hard to break. Of course, many countries still subscribe to the theory that males are superior in every way to females. I think you should have the same joy no matter which sex your baby is and treat your child accordingly.

My son is the best thing in the world. Excellent baby and very loving.
My daughter is the best thing in the world. Good baby, but moody at age 3.
Think back to high school and how catty girls can be; a daughter may do the same to you some day, where as a boy will come running to you for everything.
Just as you say momma's boy, you can say daddy's girl.
Boys are GREAT ! ! Babies are GREAT ! !
ENJOY, they grow up too fast.

I totally understand! I am on my second, and praying for a girl, but I am actually glad I had my son first.... He is absolutely in love with me! little boys just LOVE their mamas! I really wanted a girl the first time too, and actually cried when I found out it was a boy(I had issues with the father though that is why) But when he was born I couldn't imagine having any other child! You will be in love with your baby no matter what!!! And I am really excited to see my little boy become a big brother! Good Luck!

I am a mother of four three of them are boys and one girl. I have found that boys tend to be easier to deal with. All kids at some time aren't going to listen but I have better luck with the boys. My little girl cried more and is more stubborn. When she snubs up you can't do anything with her. I do cub scouts and my daughter wants to join them. The cost of boys and girls are about the same. I have found that boys were easier to deal with and get along with. And only one is a momma boy. Good luck on the baby.

OHHH GIRL..

I had my mind set on a girl too.. My husband even wanted a girl but if this is your first baby and you have never had a sonogram or anything like that then as soon as you see your baby you will not care about the sex.. I PROMISE.. I still want a little girl but im totally satisfied with MY BABY BOY AND SO IS MY HUSBAND.. To tell you the truth its not even worth worrying about, you are going to love your child whether its a boy or a girl..
