does anyone know what pokemon can be used with ditto to make other pokemon?

i used a magmar and ditto and made magby and i used my venasuar and got a balbasuar. if you know anymore please tell me

You can have any pokemon breeded with a ditto with the exception of any Pokemon that are genderless (legendaries, voltorb, magneton etc)

If a ditto is breeded with an evolved Pokemon you will get the primary form (in your case, Bulbasaur) on level 5.
There's several Pokemon that have pre-evolutions like Jynx has smoochum, Pikachu has Pichu, Magmar has Magby, Marrill has Azuril, Electabuzz has Elekid.

Breeding is going to be different in diamond and pearl. When a Pokemon is breeded, once the egg hatched, the Pokemon will start on level 1. There will also be several new baby pokemon including Chansey.

Any. ANY Pokemon will make a baby with Ditto.
The baby will always be either a baby type (Magby,Elekid,Pichu,Smoochum) or the first stage of that evolution (Venusaur=Bulbasaur, Typhlosion=Cyndaquil, etc).
The only ones you can't breed are babies and legendaries like Lugia, Mewtwo, Suicune, Zapdos, etc.
