Even though I have seen ants slurping on honey and other sweet stuff - never sugar. Whats the dealio? :p

Sometimes they do, but usually they like moist food better.

You should see my sugar bowl in summer! Found out that was where all my kitchen ants were living. Finally had to switch to a totally sealed container. Just sprinkle some outside near an ant hill and be patient.

ants r attracted to sugar, you just haven't seen them in action around sugar.tell you what try this experiment, where you see the ants take some sugar mixed with water and watch let me know if the same thing happens for u that happened 4 me.

I have seen ants all over a lollipop and m&ms. Those have sugar. Go put a lolli outside where some ants may hang out and wait and watch..... they will ATTACK!

ants LOVE the single grain of sugar in my place.

They (ants) have discovered a food source. locate the source of food on your position and also locate the position they're coming in at. Set out traps and poison. The poison granules will be carried decrease back to the nest to kill them too.

i dont think what you have is sugar...
i heard that if the honey is pure, ants are not attracted to it, so your honey probably has added sugar

all that has sugar in it so they are attracted to sugar but they cant smell the sugar grains because the smell is hard to detect. i think.
