I'm sorry to say, your monitor might be dying. Before jumping to that conclusion though, be sure to check your connections. Unplug the cable going to the computer, and plugit back in tightly. Perhaps it was loose and you weren't getting a good connection. I have heard of this happening, where the cable is coming off at an angle, so half of the pins have a bad contact.

It may still be under warranty, so you might be able to send it in for repairs or for a new one if the probelm isn't your cable.

there should be a button to bring up a menu on youur monitor. bring up the menu and look for degauss or an icon that looks like a horse shoe with a line through it and select it. Your monitor will briefly look all diffrent colors as it demagnetises the screen. may take a few times but should help if other corners begin to fade, this is a sign of a weakening CRT if this the case you will probably be shopping for a new monitor soon, Good luck!

in case you have some liquid crystal demonstrate video demonstrate, attempt to locate the "vehicle alter" button. it is going to re-sync the video demonstrate. If this might properly be a CRT video demonstrate, then your refresh cost could be too intense or very low. alter the video demonstrate. Reset refresh cost to 60Hz, and then artwork your some time past as much as the place you elect for to bypass.

if this is a lcd screen maybe someone pressed too hard on it. that will cause the area where you press on it to fail while the rest of the screen works ok
