This question of course cannot be answered, as you well knew before you asked it??
I am atheist so don't believe in all this heaven and hell stuff, I know in my own mind that's all BS, So I am also convinced that when I 'snuff it' that's the end, oblivion!!
However, I'm knocking on a bit now and I sometimes have vivid recollections of friends who have passed away, not always friends or family some I didn't like at all!
And not always dreams, at times it's as if I had just been discussing something recently with these folk!
Now when I say I am 'knocking on a bit' I am not yet senile, and still think that death means oblivion, maybe its just memories coming back? but it doesnt feel like that!
So after my little nutty rant my answer is still dont know!
After leaving this world I dont think so.
Your opinion is as good as mine and if it gives you any comfort to think you will see them again, then no harm in that.
There are some I dont want to see again.

I believe you are sincere so here goes. Ok, what if the idea of evolution is correct but there is more to it? What if the idea of creation is correct in a way? Suppose the God we read about in the bible is not really the "Creator"? What if he is really just a higher form of life? Suppose he took the highest primate on the planet and made man from that? What if our job is to find our way back to God?

Perhaps this God person and others like him do not have bodies but are more like spirits? They don't have to be all holy and that sort of stuff. Maybe we were put into these bodies on this particular planet for some plurpose. Perhaps that explains our desire to explore and learn and to travel through space and time.

So what happens when we die? Maybe we return to the spirit state and if we have accomplished our mission, we get to go back to God. Maybe if we fail we are recycled to try again.

Anyway this is an oversimplifcation of my own personal beliefs. But if true, you certainly will eventually be with those who went ahead of you. But you must accomplish your mission first. I think that is to be a good and caring person and learn all you can. I think we need to deny the animalistic side of our nature and embrace the spiritual side.

I guess it is as good as any explaination I have heard.

I don't believe in heaven either, or not the exact way that most religious people do. I think there are certain levels or plains of spiritual being that you will find yourself on after you die, and can interract with others on the same plain as you. Each time you learn new things, you will progress to the next plain, towards ascention, or immortal spirit life, as it were.

Yes!!! I do not know why, I cannot explain, but something deep deep inside of me tells me yes!

Despite all - there seems more argue that we shall then we wont. Life is merely a test, and we get to move on and join the others when the time is right. Perhaps not what we read about in the Bible, but we shall just have to wait and see.

I think that you may.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

When you die, everyone you knew in this lifetime, the lifetime before, the lifetime going on right now, and anyone you want to be there to comfort you as you cross into the Realm of the Absolute will be there to greet you and make your transistion as easy on you as possible. So you should never feel afraid. This is just but one aspect of the the process of your death stages out of three.

I don't believe in heaven per se, or Hell either. But I do believe that there is an afterlife where all who have died can come together, perhaps as thoughts and interact with each other.

Seeing requires a retina, optic nerve, and a whole host of other biological goodies. Seeing after death would require...well, it would require another indeterminate method of sight.

Of course, we could not see physical, living beings since this would require our spiritual retina to interact with visible light...which would, in turn, make us visible. So, in the absence of any concept of an alternative method of sight, I would have to say...no way!

Of course, what a silly question.
Dont you see them when the sun shines in your eyes, just before you fall asleep and in your dreams?
