ok if you say pele then why. Mradonna took on the whole other team and still scored by running the ball into the net.All pele did was take good shots and made great passes but im only talking about singles achievement

This is one of footballs eternal questions. They played in different eras and under different tactics. During Pele's time the game was slower and much more static. Maradona was a revolution with the ball. Pele would not have made an impact if he had played during Maradona's time. I believe Maradona was a better "10" then Pele.

Pele. 1281 goals in 1363 games sorry but you've got to use that stat. And if you ignore that how about he was in several top class (World Cup winning) teams and still stood out as a great.

Johan Cruyff was better than Maradona and Pele. Cruyff was majestic on the ball, creative, fast and a tactician on the pitch. Sorry, that doesn't answer your question!
