No matter what I eat the pains won't go away. I'm of average wt./ht and do not want to get fat while pregnant.

Should I call my doctors office and talk to someone.

Is this normal?

Maybe you have a tapeworm??? Nah.. That's just hormone cravings and the baby getting nutrition... You may need vitamins...

I am 12 wks and I am having the same issue. I bought a bunch of different kinds of cereal and I eat a bowl between meals. It really helps. Also I have been waking up extremely hungry. Food by the bed helps. I eat a few saltines or half a granola bar then go right back to sleep. You won't get fat as long as you are eating a balanced diet. Good luck.

Avoid sweets and greasy, fried foods. Otherwise just go ahead and eat a nutritious diet. I was very hungry with my first one, but my pregnancy diet (the Brewer diet) said to eat when you are hungry. Later when she was born we discovered that I had a marginal placenta. The doctor said that if I had been watching my weight instead of eating right I would have been at risk for premature labor. I lost 5 pounds more than what I gained during pregnancy. I had gained 55 pounds and lost 60. It took less than 6 months.

Are you taking a prenatal vitamin, its normal to be more hungry than you used to be. you now are eating for two instead of one. Plus your body will need more food to work.. The baby is using your energy and nutrition to grow. you could try eating six small meals a day, healthy food.
