If you smoked pot during college years almost every day for like 3 or 4 years and you decide to have a baby in late 20's and you have completely stopped smoking for the last couple of years....would it still have any possibilities of baby defects

There is some new evidence that drug use (especially chronic drug use) has a genetic impact on the user--basically those genes which make it more likely you will become addicted to any substance very quickly. And that even after you stop using drugs those genes stay changed. But I haven't seen any studies that would link birth defects to years-ago drug use.

No it won't..I have known many woman who smoked while pregnant and the babies turned out fine so your in the good, even more so because you have not smoked in years..

It is highly unlikely that anything will come of the pot you smoked in college. Or any other time for that matter.

no, i smoked weed up until the day i found out i was pregnant and at that time i was 2 1/2 wks and my baby is perfect

i wouldn't think so. i know a lot of women that smoked pot while pregnant and their babies came out perfectly normal. if you are really concerned, ask the doctor and he will be able to give you more information. but since it has been years since you smoked, it is not in your system, therefore it will not be in the babies.

No. I know people that smoke the heck out of pot while they were pregnant and their babies were healthy with no problems.

No...lots of people smoked when they were younger and have children that are fine. No one should do it while pregnant though

No, you are safe, so long as you don't do it while pregnant. Once the drug comes out of your system, you have no more worries.

why'd you stop smoking? j/k I have no idea....I turned out okay and many other people I know have had healthy kids ...and they smoked....
