It is a VERY risky thing.
If the tattoo gets infected you are also giving your unborn baby an infection.
Most tattoo artists will refuse to ink a pregnant woman. If you find an artist that will do it, hes probably not very professional or clean.
The best tip I have is to wait until after the baby is born. (if you are breastfeeding you will have to wait till thats over too)

NO! Any reputable tattooist would never tattoo a pregnant woman. One many people on having a tattoo faint or pass out even sometimes in the past have miscarried. The other is risk of infection from there tools and from your healing tattoo if it should turn septic. A pregnancy is only 9 months long surely your in no hurry? The tattoo parlor will still be there in 9 months time and how knows maybe you'll have changed your mind by then once you become a mother.

I'm not sure. But, I would put it off. I bet if the tattoo artist was responsible, they would say, "no." And, tell you to wait until you have had the baby and stopped breastfeeding if this is definitely what you want to do. I am not saying that people with tats should not breastfeed! The point is having the tat done while breastfeeding and during the prenatal development of the child; what matters is the ink that is being used and what kind of teratogen the ink happens to be.

It would be ok if done by a reputable professional. But, a reputable professional wouldn't do one on you if they knew you were pregnant or breastfeeding. In most tattoo parlors, it is now standard to refuse service to pregnant and breastfeeding moms as its an unnecessary risk to the baby. Any procedure that breaks the skin exposes you to risk of infection. The risk of blood borne infections should be avoided during pregnancy. Its just not worth it. Luckily pregnancy doesn't last forever and you can get inked later! Best of luck.

The main concern about getting a tattoo while your pregnant is contracting disease or infection (Hepatitis, HIV, etc.). Be sure your artist uses safe and sterile procedures.
I also found some information on a website that suggests little is known about the effect of inks on a developing fetus.
There's also the option of a henna tattoo which is an Indian tradition (mentioned in the same article)

Technically yes, but you shouldnt, your body can decide to reject the tattoo because of the baby, you could contract diseases which could harm the baby, although rare it does happen, the trauma could harm the baby etc. Just wait until after the baby is born and after you're done breastfeeding.

I dont think its been researched enough to come up with a definitive answer. But, when you get a tattoo ink goes in your bloodstream, bloodstream goes to the baby. It would be pretty darn stupid to get a tattoo. Cant you wait a few months?

I would not recommend it, because you could get an infection. I got one at 3 weeks pregnant(had no idea I was pregnant though) and was so nervous about it until I got through my first trimster.
I definatly would not get on near my stomach or lower back either

yes, but it can be risky. Everything you put into your blood , goes to the baby.
Also, you skin is stretching when you are pregnant, which means that when you go back to your regular size, the tattoo will not look the same
