Never give a woman any kind of household appliance or something that is going to make "housework" easier. For instance, a blender, a toaster, a new vacuum, one of those mops they advertise on tv that does everything but suck the life out of you, anything in a informercial. The only wise choice is a new washing machine with a turbo spin cycle. (Makes laundry day go by pretty fast when you can at least sit on it during spin-dry and end up smiling the rest of the day.)

*I* say BUY ME A DISHWASHER!!!

Hey, it may make life easier, so why not?

Frankly I wouldn't go 'round generalizing peoples' different tastes this way. I know that after several years of marriage and raising a family while doing dishes by hand, a dishwasher looked pretty good to ME when I finally got one.

By the way, *I* bought it myself 'cos my husband had no clue! He thought like you. Leave it up to the individual couple and/or female to decide what would be considered an appropriate gift for *them*!

Always ask before buying. I personally would love to get a blender (if I didn't have one) but some women prefer more romantic gifts, like jewelry or perfume. Some of us are old fashioned ladies who like something to lighten the house keeping load.

I don't know...I got a new vacuum from my hubby and I love it. Of course, I think the occasion has a lot to do with the reaction you might get. i.e. toaster for Valentine's day, mop for mother's day...you get the picture.

how actual....my husband once bough me a present card to blockbuster. He is conscious i visit't stand to observe video clips. He then used the present card to employ xbox video games for himself. How thoughtful of him.
