If you were married and took your husbands name.....then a few years later he divorced you.
Life moves on, you get re-married 6 years later.
BUT, you keep your first husband name and do not take second husband name.
How would this make the new husband feel?
I think it disrepects the second husband!
No children are of the first marriage.

This is a very close friend of mine, she does not have a job where her name would need to stay the same. I think she still loves her first husband.

It sounds a little fishy to me. I wouldn't see why a woman would not want to be rid of an ex as fast as possible, especially if the new husband is so wonderful. It would be a little more understandable if children were involved. I have heard of instances where the mother keeps their name in the event of a new marriage. This situation makes me wonder about her committment to her new relationship...

Some women don't change their name just because it's a lot of hassle; perhaps your friend discovered this the first time. But generally they will respond to both their maiden name and their husband's last name.

I would think the second husband wouldn't be very pleased... but it's between them and if they are both happy, then it's not anyone else's business.

When you get divorced from your first husband and get re-married to another husband you should not keep the first husband's name because the husband that you married now might not let you know that he does not like the idea of you keeping the first husbands name. You should take the second husband's name.

Pretty crappy wouldn't you. When you divorce you go back to your maiden name and then when you remarry if you choose so you can take your new husbands name. Your right and it is about as disrespectful as you can get in that area.

I think it is disrespectful because it would seem unfair to him if u took the first husbands name but all of a sudden didn't want to take his. If you have truly moved on u should drop the name and look forward to your new life and possible future kids.

I don't feel that making a personal choice of which name to use disrespects anyone. If a husband chooses to view it this way - it's his own problem.

I believe if you get a divorce that the woman should take her maiden name back. You two no longer have the marriage so why have the same name. It is disrespectful to the second husband!!

the feel is thrilling in the beginning up, would not takes long for getting used to it. in simple terms bypass to Social protection administration with ur marriage certificates and get a clean SS card. Then whilst u get it in da mail. bypass to ur DMV and alter the call on license and different stuff. talking approximately ur previous diplomas, thats no longer a large deal ! Like whilst u word for particular activity or benefit, in simple terms comprise ur maiden call on the type tell ur college that u've have been given married and tell them to replace their information

i would keep my maiden name. its an archaic thing to take his name. i took my ex husband's name, but never will again, should i remarry. why should i? but i definitely wouldn't keep my ex's name if i were to marry someone else. it gives the wrong message to ur new husband. its attachment to the ex, if u think about it
