I won't be able to receive phone calls or send email. Will the people I communicate with understand this, or will they incorrectly infer that I don't wish to communicate with them?

You will survive the old fashioned way.
It will be difficult, but your typing and dialing fingers will have a rest from the phone and keyboard, and lay claim to other duties.

I think people will understand, and those that don't will leave multiple emails and voice mails wanting to know why you're not returning calls and emails.

Hopefully during this time you'll be having tons of fun, not being attached to phone and puter.

Happy Trails until you reconnect.
