-Doctors will tell you a healthy diet & exercise.

-Keeping yourself busy during the day tires you out and prepares your body to sleep at night.

-If you're like me however and am a night person and insomniac then some of your habits need to change because we've conditioned ourselves and our mind is more active during the night i.e. turn the t.v off after 7 pm, turn the computer off after 7 pm, go to bed 2 hours earlier because it takes that long to go to sleep, set your alarm clock for 6am everyday and get up (no naps during the day) because it will tire you out and reset your body clock.

Some other ideas are:

-Orgasm before bed
-Count sheep
-Drink hot cocoa
-Exercise before bed
-Get stoned or drunk
-Lay on your bed and stretch for 10 seconds (hands together and straight up and feet together and straight down). Do this 5 times relaxing after each stretch.

However, I suggest any of the top three because they are natural. Any other suggestions only reinforce bad behaviours you may have to keep yourself awake.

Last but not least, you may have a medical condition if this is a real problem, then you should consult your GP for short term sleeping pills to help get your body clock back to normal. Or consult your local Sleep Clinic for advice.

slow music, fantasizing, thinking, making stories up, thinking about what happened during the day, dramatizing, etc. all these things help me get a good nights sleep. Plus try having a hot water bath right before bed. It helps. Wine or grapes are known to give good sleep.

And listen to the orgasm tips... they really do work wonders

I used to have this problem too. I kept thinking about what I had to do the next day, what went wrong that day, ect... I finally found a way that works for me. I lay still and concentrate on my breathing. I breath slowly and count my breaths. This way there is nothing else going on in mind. I push everything away and just count my breaths to myself. Hope this helps.
