Even today cricket is foreign to Indian cricket players. Senior players showed that in the World Cup matches. If foreign players do not know about cronyism in cricket, sure , they should play with Sachin, Kumble, Dravid etc

because i believe indian cricket is managed by the Govt and people usually dont take interest in domestic cricket
so govt feels its useless to recruit foreign players when interest is not taken by the common fans

Because BCCI had not granted permission to play foreign players in Indian domestic tournaments earlier. However, they have now been permitted to play in domestic tournament .

There are some players from England and Australia playing in India they believes it will improve their technique for playing spinners for other they think India is less secure adn weather is too hot they can be injured regularly in India because they are not use to this type of weather.
