Atomic mass is number of neutrons + number of protons =56 +43 = 99

The element is Technetium. It has atomic number 43 and is given the symbol Tc. The chemical properties of this silvery grey, crystalline transition metal are intermediate between rhenium and manganese.

If you take one proton and one neutron away the atomic mass will go down by 2 and the atomic number will go down by one. the atomic number is 97 and he atomic number is 42. The element is Molybdenum.

Atomic Number = No. of electrons = no. of Protons

Atomic Mass = No. of neutrons + Atomic Number

Atomic Mass = 56 + 43

Atomic Mass = 99 a.m.u

a.m.u = atomic mass unit

approximate atomic mass is protons + neutrons
43+56 = 99
The element is Technetium and it is not charged because the number of protons equals the number of electrons
If you took away 1 proton and 1 neutron you would have Molybdenum
