I had to sleep on my right side only or I couldn't breathe.
But I never heard that there was any problem with sleeping any way which was comfortable.

If your propped up on a few pillows you can. The problem is not with the baby and you laying on your back it is the weight being too much for you to breathe. I slept on my back and my side then actually found a way to sleep on my tummy ie..... lots of pillows. All three of my children came out fine. You just need to make sure that your comfortable. You have to remember the baby fells what you feel if your uncomfortable so are they. If you have ever noticed they tend to move more when your uncomfortable its because they are trying to find that comfy spot for them.

The clean air will save you alert and a short stroll with get your blood pumping. Take a snooze throughout your lunch hour. A twenty minute cat-nap has been shown to be effective for each guy or woman, no longer purely pregnant women folk. additionally, any variety of exercising 20 to 30 minutes an afternoon will help you reside wide awake in the process the day. i'm 20 weeks pregnant and dealing 2 jobs, so I completely understand how drained you're. merely sitting for a pair hours is challenging on the tail bone and pelvic bone. I merely stand up and stretch or stroll to the restroom. Use the single which is farthest out of your workplace so which you would be able to get somewhat rejuvenated from the stroll. additionally, see in case you will get a distinctive chair if the single you have is making you particularly uncomfortable sitting for an prolonged era.

I slept on my back through my second pregnancy because the baby just didn't allow me to sleep any other way! My first child would kick in hurtful places if I lay on my back... Both children are absolutely healthy! I say sleep in a way that is comfortable to you so you can get the best rest and stay healthy.

I slept on my back a lot during my pregnancies (yeah all nine months) because it was the only way I could fall asleep comfortably. In the night I would switch to my side, but sometimes I'd wake up on my back again.
All my babies were fine - I've had three.
You just might not be as comfortable breathing and it might aggravate your back somewhat.

I'm 35 weeks and I've slept on my back the whole time I've been pregnant. Some women say their baby puts pressure on their spine or bladder and it makes them uncomfortable but my doctor said that if I could do it, it was fine.

Sleeping on your back while pregnant can create pressure on a major vein called the inferior vena cava. This vein returns blood from the lower body to your heart. This may lead to lightheadedness and/or numbness. In addition this may cause pressure on your back and intestines, leading to discomfort. Most physicians recommend that a woman sleep on her left side while pregnant. this allows for the maximum blood flow to the baby, and it will also improve kidney function for the mother. The improved kidney flow will help to reduce swelling. Because your liver is on the right side of your body, sleeping on your left will keep the pressure off your liver.

I slept on my back until I couldn't breathe anymore or until I was too uncomfortable. I have 3 babies and they are all just fine. Chances are you won't stay in the same spot all night anyways.

I'll be 24 weeks tomorrow & I feel the same way! I try not to, but sometimes I just HAVE to sleep on my back. I used to be a stomach sleeper because of a lower back issue so now it's starting to act up & the only relief it to switch positions a lot!

Ive been sleeping on my right, if I lay on my left I cant breathe, which sucks because usually I like to cuddle my husband and hes on that side, now I just face the wall :( I lay on my back too just to relieve pressure sometimes, a small price to pay I guess.
