With all due respect, and to be lighthearted,,,"From the Ground Up.'
As a DIY it might be a daunting, and defeating task? First step would be to have, or acquire property, check with local govt. for any restrictions or allowances, secure a design, create a materials list, have the materials on a prepared site, have permits available for inspection, tools to work through the process, perhaps experienced, knowledgeable, skillful people to help. or advise(at least),. the time and commitment for a job that may take 90 plus days, another place to live in the process, the funds available,
Here... isn't the place to expect a detailed proceedure step by step, but in any cases, allow for error, price increases, delivery mess ups, time to be involved 24/7 until the first night is spent in the house..... etc. etc. etc.
