American and English bulldogs have an average lifespan of 8-10 years. The homeostasis of your dog is mostly dependent on how you take care of him/her. If you keep regular vet visits, exercize your dog daily, monitor his eating habits and make yourself knowledgeable of your breeds rare qualities and capability of quick downfalls with inadequate health, you and your bulldog should maintain beautiful homeostasis'. All animals, even us, have been known to surpass the "average life expectancy" if taken care of correctly. Good luck.
