Oh yes! It was back when I was just learning how to cook so I didn't know too much. The local podunk supermarket put in a seafood counter. So I thought I'd learn to make crab legs. I got them home and smelled them and they smelled like ammonia! And there were a couple greenish parts. I cooked them anyway and tried to eat them. They still tasted like ammonia, but I'd paid so much for them!
I was sick the next day...never again. I learned my lesson.
