How can I contact spirits - This is not a joke either?

Ok, I'm what you could consider a medium. I can really only sense if there's an energy when I'm not really paying attention to it. I can tell alot about the energy (what it's wearing, if it's good or bad, etc.) I want to know how to actually contact the energies and talk to them. No, I'm not Wiccan or a Witch.

My friend is a witch, but she only performs white magic. Would she possibly be able to be the person to contact the dead? She can see angels and demons.

If I use an Ouija board, how can I summon only the spirits I want to?

I'm 14 and my mom would freak out if she found me doing anything major.
She doesn't believe that I can sense presences.

Oh my God you guys let me do what I want I've used ouija boards before I just don't know how to properly use one the way I described so leave me alone get off my back and just answer the question.

First off, Ouija boards are nothing to be played with-- those things can be dangerous. And secondly, if you can sense the energy of the spirits of the dead, then contacting them shouldn't be too difficult, with a little practice.

I have a sense for foreign energy, too (my whole family does, running on my mother's side of things); it's not something I like doing, and it can be a difficult thing to gain control of. There's a lot of mixed sensation that comes with it; all those feelings... the veritable coctail of emotions of those who are dead and may not know it; or of those who know they're dead, but are still trying to cling to a life that they no longer have; or even those malignant spirits-- also called poltergeists-- who know you know you're there, and may try to attack you personally. Yes, I know what it's like... and it sucks. Talking to them can be unpleasant, and even downright scary at times, but if it's really what you want, then try doing the exercises below and see what kind of results you get.

So, what I would suggest is that you take some time to sit by yourself in a quiet space-- somewhere away from your home preferably-- and sit and listen... open up your mind to your surroundings, and just listen. If you're paying close enough attention, you'll get a variety of sensations during this time; also, if you listen closely enough, you'll be able to "feel it" (you'll know what that means, when it happens) when a spirit is trying to speak to you. You'll be able to tell by paying attention to not only what your mind tells you, but by what your "spidey sense" tells you, as to whether or not this is someone you really want to talk to, and what it is they want from you to begin with. It's going to take some time and patience on your part to make this work for you, rather than against you, but in the end, you should find what you're looking for.

As for speaking to them, once you can pinpoint a voice out of the din of noise on the other side of the veil, many times more than not, talking to them isn't much different from talking to a person of physical means. Sometimes, all they need is someone to help coax them to the other side; sometimes, they don't know exactly what it is they want, and they may follow you around for awhile, trying to get you to understand their needs; and sometimes, they're just angry and will take it out on anyone who can hear/see them. The good news is, most of them can't hurt you physically, but there are those rare occasions, so be wary of who you choose to speak to.

As for your witch friend, I wouldn't suggest letting her help you summon much of anything. Even white magic, if improperly performed, can be dangerous (I have a sister who performs green magic-- she's wiccan-- and she's told me all about her experiences. I try not to practice magic of any sort, but my sister tells me I have a natural ability with it. How she knows this, I'm not sure, but she's always saying so). Your friend's ability to see these angels and demons is probably about the same thing as being able to tell the good spirits from the bad ones. It would seem like a good idea to enlist her help, but keep her out of it, if you can. You're on a path few can travel and fewer yet even believe exists. I agree with the others that it probably isn't the thing to do right now at the age you are at. You need to mature into this ability. But you could be reading a studying about it now to prepare for the time when you are old enough. Try the book "Book of Spirit Communications" By Raymond Buckland. I am sure that there are other books out there that explain things as well. the book also talks about Ouija boards and how to use them. When you are over the age of 18, I would try to find a medium to study under. Be careful to make sure that they are real and not con men of some sort. You have four years to soak up as much information on your abilities as you can. Knowledge is power and keeps you from being taken advantage of. I would also look around in your family and try to find out if this type of thing runs in your family. I am an empath and empaths run in my family. Of course many of them blocked the ability because their leaders of what ever christian religion they were members of told them that it"Was of the Devil" and other such nonsense.
Please think seriously about waiting to do this sort of thing and educating yourself and simply letting more maturity come to you first. Good Luck and Blessed Be.

It's usually best to try in the middle of the night when most people are asleep. Conscious people throw around a lot more psychic energy and make it far more difficult to contact spirits. Sprinkle tobacco in a circle around you. Inside the circle, light a candle (or as many candles as you want) and some pleasing incense. Focus on the candle and clear your mind. Ask the spirits to let their presence be known. Watch for signs and listen to your own inner dialog. At this point, you can try the Ouija board, or other techniques such as pendulums, free writing, tarot cards, or scrying. There are many forms of scrying,: pyromancy (gazing into fire for visions), crystal balls, black mirrors, pools of water, or anything into which you can gaze and allow your eyes to see into the possibilities of what is there.

There are many superstitious and ignorant people who will warn you against such behavior, but trust your own intuition. Don't let the stupidity of others stand in the way of your own spiritual development.

Ouija Boards contact the wrong entities. Unless you really WANT some negative dangerous forms around you, They won't do your bidding and they won't care if they hurt you. They are specific tools used for specific purposes. I would never attempt to bring a spirit to me.

You should wait for them to contact you. If you are a medium they will, and you don't need a Ouija board. If your friend practices white then she should know this.

And your gift may be limited to only sensing and seeing them, you may not be able to hear them, that's not uncommon. I hear them but very rarely see them. Try to use what you have at this time and exercise it.

The spirit will know what gifts you have and if all you can do is see them then pay attention to what they are showing you. You need to practice your gift just like any other talent, don't rush it, develop it and leave the Ouija board alone.

In comment to the last of your question; if you have used them before then you would know how to use them, and I'm not going to tell anyone its okay to use them to play with.

I am glad that your witch friend only does white magic, but it's really not the magic that is white or black it is the person using it. With that said the ouiji board is very dangerous and should not be taken lightly. What I am trying to get up the courage to do is perform good magic to protect me from the evil spirits that normally come through. That is by creating a protection circle, and lighting white candles and then do a protection spell on yourself. If you ask your friend or if you want to know how with out asking her then e-mail me and I will go into further detail with you about it. But please and I repeat please do not use the board without blessing it, yourself, or the area you are going to use the board in. If you do not want to use a board then you will have to meditate and heighten your sixth sense so that you can call the spirits that you want. a ouija board i suppose, but i doubt that you could ever be selective about who you contact when you use one of those things.

i've had people warn me about ouija boards, but i've never once gotten them to function in any way at all - and i've tried using them alone - something that you're not ever supposed to do.

i don't really think that there's an answer to your question - though being very well informed probably won't hurt.

so, read up on the subject and be selective about the authors that you chose, some of them simply believe everything that they've ever even heard of but are short on sources, particularly verifiable ones - avoid those guys...

at 14 you should be in school worrying about your homework, never ever use an ouija board unless you know how to use it you dont want to summon a spirit that will live with you all the time do you, some things are best left untouched.
there are lot of energies around us you are blessed if you can feel them, try to concentrate on the positive ones.

You have a gift, and the more you work with it, the stronger you will be with it. I believe the Ouija board will work for what you are trying to do, but be very careful, because spirits will trick you and pretend to be something/someone who they are not. I have friends that this has happened to.

ok... you need more than one person. get a few of your freinds, go to a spiritual "hotspot", join your hands in a circle, say the name of the spirit you want to talk to, or just spirits in that area in general. then have everyone close their eyes. music helps inside, but outside try being in the grass. and oh, try using a mirror in the middle of the circle. : D good luck
