If she didn't have any sick or vacation time to use, sure it's allowed. Why should she be paid for not working? I understand you see the medical emergency, but employers have a business to run, and if they were to pay people out of the kindness of their heart the business would go bankrupt.

If she has vacation or sick pay in the books, she should see if she can turn in a retroactive request for day off pay. Most employers will accommodate that.

They do not have to pay her for the day she has not been at work, though if she provides them with the correct medical documentation, she should still be entitled to Company Sick Pay (contract dependant) or Statutory sick pay. They should not be able to dock her extra money other than they day she has missed.

Depends on their policy. Some companies (agencies mainly) don't pay any sickness. Some companies will only pay sickness if you have been there for a certain amount of time (normally 3 or 6 months). Most will only pay for a certain number of days. She needs to check her companies policy and her contract.

definite, except that's specially defined interior the worker hand e book that you're going to never be docked once you've sufficient time collected. If the time you've collected is holiday, then you really ought to apply that. Why do you sense that your organization owes you any funds for time that you've been unproductive for him?
