I wouldn't call the woman anything insulting. Most of the time (not always though) these women, have been seduced by the married man. Many times he makes promises of leaving his wife and lies about how "terrible" his marriage is and how "horrible" his wife is.
A woman in this situation could be naive, feeling lonely and in need of love and affection.
It is a too broad generalization, each case is different.

Actually she is a very insecure woman that thinks getting a married guy to drop his shorts is an indication that she is sooo desireable he couldn't resist her (false: he is just a guy in an unhappy marriage) and second she picks a married man because she really doesn't want a serious relationship-just fun.

maybe the woman really loves the man. And maybe the man married his wife because he got her preggers and he's catholic. And didn't know the other woman at the time.

In the old days, they used to drag such a woman out in front of the city gates and stone her to death, if she was lucky, or worse, they might torture her first, or burn her at the stake....
Strangely enough, seems like they hardly ever stoned any of the men to death........
