I grow up with chevy mad dad raced chevy cars my first sports cars was a 79 camero but have to say work wise take the ford my friends has a chevy 2500 cant handle the weight and when pulling a trailer it sucks. I have had great luck with the f250 HD strong runner I carry 4000 lbs all the time in the bed this machines is mounted so it dont come out and still will pull a trailer just fine.

owned all of them. it is going ford, gm/chev, avert (in simple terms cuz avert has a susceptible chassis). IMO chevrolet is the main puffed up of the three. The SB 350 replaced into all they had. and the only reason they're usual is with the help of the fact any back backyard mechanic ought to have sufficient money to purchase the cheap aspects for them and make means. If i wanted a perfect engine geared up identity do a SBF 427.. extra money, yet a much better very final product (if u comprehend what your doing)

but all my race cars and street rods use a Chevy motor
( more bang for the buck.).
and a ford top loader trans with a ford 9" rear gear..
the ford drive train is bullet proof

Often I go down to my local Pick-and-Pull (junkyard) to get parts for my wifes Plymouth van.
Walking through this HUGE lot of broken down cars and truck, I've noticed ten times the amount of Ford trucks to Chevy trucks.
Therefore, I would have to say Chevys must last a lot longer.
