It typically stops at 3 months. (12 weeks) You are in the clear. That is why they tell you not to announce the unpcoming event until after the third month. That way if anything happens, you don't have to answer questions. If you are high risk, the risk is there the whole way. I am 25 weeks with twins and went in with a bladder infection and they were running around like crazy. Afraid the infection would bring on labor and cause me to deliver too early. So as long as your pregnancy is normal, then you should be fine.

They say the you can have a miscarriage before 20 weeks. But everything will be ok after you get into your 2nd trimester. If you have one after 20 weeks it is called a still born. If you have any symptoms like bleeding, head ache, back ache or diarrhea then get with your DR. Something could be wrong.

The highest risk is at 8wks and less and then the risk drops again at 12wks and then drops again after 16wks. The Chance of miscarriage has drop for you at 16 wks. Try not to be paranoid about it. Take Care of yourself and your unborn baby. Best of luck and Congrats on your Pregnancy.

You're pretty much in the clear now. Your risk drops each week, but it drops considerably after 13 weeks. You & the baby will be fine. Good Luck!

Once the 12th week ( 3months) period hits, you're "homefree". Usually. You still have to take good care of yourself and go for regular visits, though. You're in the clear! Good luck!
