I've known many men to wear skirts over the years and it wasn't a cross-dressing situation. I never saw a problem with it. If a boyfriend of mine wanted to wear skirts and dresses, well, that's his choice. And it wouldn't bother me in the least to go shopping with him dressed that way. Who cares what other people think? That's a waste of time and energy.

In my relationship world, there's only one party who is allowed to wear a skirt and that's ME.
To answer your question, no. I would not go shopping with my man while he wears a skirt.

I would enjoy shopping with my boyfriend regardless of what he wears. It isn't the clothing that I enjoy spending time with. Some people might get nervous about spectators commenting, but I feel that if someone sees and comments, they are reacting to their own internalized gender identity policing, where they are projecting their own social expectations onto us because they feel it reverberate within themselves.
This is akin to the Prison model of Michel Foucault, where we begin to police ourselves because we believe that others are watching. On a wide scale, such as an entire society, this policing ourselves involves policing others as a way of keeping ourselves trained.

I'm so jealous ... I've been searching for a living Ken-doll since ... well I can't remember when. I always seem to scare the guys off when I ask them to wear a differnet color shirt, or a vest. HTH did you get him to wear a skirt???

If I were a girl and had a boyfriend who wore a skirt to shopping with I would drop him as a boyfriend, and relegate the boy to a friend that I know.!.!.

I don't really like to shop and I don't wear skirts (except maybe once every other year)... so I don't think I would enjoy it.

I certainly would. That would be awesome! More guys should show off their legs in skirts or kilts.
