Not a single factor could possibly lead you to the path of success,I would rather say there are several factors to do and there are more to do away with to reach a desired destination.First of all you have do figure out your true goal to reach.Then figure out your strengths and weaknesses.If you are convinced that your weakness may hinder your path,turn it in to your favor.For example if you need to speak english in any interview and you are not well versed with art of english speaking,start practising now.
Similarly, stay focussed,never let your emotions(family,friends et al)come in between your objective and path.
If you know for sure you can do,and start acting accordingly,you are through.
The most important thing is take the anchor out before you use your oars.
If you come up with specific question ,one like you want to be an IAS etc we may provide you with actual answers.This is all theoretical and you may need to contemplate a bit too much to get into the root of it.
Have a nice and the biggest possible dream before you venture out.go ahead,devor the worst of perseverance.Toil hard,relish snides,have fun,blame none.That's the recipe.Cook the success,if you are hungry and independent.

Well since everyone's perspective of what it means to be successful is different, then that essential 'thing' is different for everyone.
For me success in life means being surrounded by people who love, respect, accept, and support me. So the essential thing for me would be to make sure that the people I choose to share my life with possess all four traits. With a good support team, I can acheive financial and professional success as well.

DRIVE. I have a friend who is a DOER. If he wants something, badly, he studies it from all angles, rolls his sleeves up, and literally SLAVES until he reaches his goal! This may require reading stacks of boring Manuels, taking tough tutorials, spending hours surfing the Net to get ideas, staying up all night practicing his version (in front of a mirror!)...if an interview or 'speech' is part of the goal. He gets a kick out of a challenge!!!He seems to be a happy camper, too. I get worn out just watching him get ideas. Ha!

Have a goal and sincerety and correct way of learning anything with thorough knowledge and acquire skills make to you a beginner and learner and earner and lead you to success in your own life.
