Honestly speaking it is very difficult to get rid of if once got virus.
Do you which file or folder is infected? if not better back up your important data
then use some best antivirus software. Or even that do not work the best and cheapest way is to use Recovery disk.
If you got Recovery cd/dvd then better do that it will turn your pc to back to new one but you will have to install program again if not included in recovery disk.
Or if you want a try after using antivirus restore system and see if it work. I think when you got no option then use RECOVERY.
still need help send mail nihon94@yahoo.com

Obtain a copy of Avast! anti-virus after installation it will ask you if you would like to do a boot scan, click on yes. After the reboot just let it run. The verbal notification of a virus database being updated is convenient yet a bit disconcerting. I spilled a cup of hot coffee on myself, wondering who made it into my house! Good Luck!

It all depends on the virus itself.
Any decent antivirus program if kept up to date should remove common virii. If not they tell you how to do it manually.
One thing that everyone forgets is to turn off their system restore before trying to clear a virus. So remember to turn it off, remove the virus, scan the machine completely and if its clean turn your system restore back on and create a new restore point.

Shut down your computer. Restart and immediately after starting the computer press (several times if necessary) the F8 key to boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode, run your antivirus program. Do a thorough scan to insure you scan the entire pc.
