I work for a small company that has a big sister company far away. We manufacture many different types of webbing straps and tie downs. They have the engineering drawings for all the straps. When I need a drawing I usually email them and they email it back to me. I want to know how can I possibly connect to their computer to retrive the information on my own. Besides them putting everything on a CD and sending it to me. I thought about remote desktop but then I cant put the information on my computer I need to transfer it. Any suggestions? maybe a program we can use to transfer mass quantity of information from computer to computer by internet?

The easy, cheap way I do this is to create a website that you can edit and upload and download to.
Then you make yourself and the other party collaboraters so you both can access ,edit upload and download but no one else can.
Google mail has this for free . You get google mail , then you can create spreadsheets or documents that allows you to allow others to be able to access and edit it if you put their email address in the collaboraters box.
I use this to co write a book with a friend 3000 miles away. Check it out.

There is a program called pcAnywhere that I use to transfer information from one computer to another. It can be secured with a password for security.

Get a webserver with enough space and bandwidth and use FTP, like FileZilla.
