They simply see things differently...... therefore, they have a different opinion.
I think the key has always been in stepping back and figuring out WHY they see things differently. That is the only way it helps me. Certain experiences in their life may have made them react a certain way to certain situations. Pain and hurt can certainly alter a person's thinking.
Culture! Different cultures see things in a much different way than say Americans do. Does that mean we are right?? No... we just see it differently. Hmmmm...... could this be why world wars are started?? *cough*
Some people see "beyond" the moment into the effects that come later while others see how their opinion will affect them here and now. When we all approach things differently....... it's definitely going to cause us to disagree.
So when someone disagrees with me...... I have to listen. It's just how I'm programmed. I have to "get" why it is happening. And once you figure out the why......... it's amazing how easily the disagreement gets ironed out.

They have a different opinion and that is what makes the world go around. If everyone thought the same nothing would ever get done and it would be a very boring world.

Just a different opinion. They are allowed to think what they want to. I would expect the same from someone else. Don't try to change me.

they are always "non-compliant" if they disagree with me.
