I think this is different for different people. Some actually feel physically exhausted as well. If you think you are suffering from an Emotional breakdown I urge you to seek professional help as soon as you possibly can.

As someone who frequently suffers from these breakdowns from time to time, I'll start off by explaining how It usually starts for me: an emotional breakdown will usually occur if your mind is pushed too hard from emotional stress for too long, and your psyche's emotional stability just gives out, which (at least for me) causes your emotions go completely into overdrive and cause uncontrollable emotional spasms, from any range of bursting into uncontrollable sobbing to violent aggression. All-in-all, they are not fun in anyway and can cause a great deal of physical exhaustion as well. I hope to have answered your question for you.

Emotional breakdown, nervous breakdown, or anxiety attack are all related from my experience with my mother and daughter. Have you suffered rejection by someone? Have you been abandoned? Are you bitter?

You must forgive these people. You may even have a familiar spirit that you have inherited as my daughter did from her grandmother. It must be cast out by a strong believer in Jesus and in Jesus' name it will flee. You must denounce any association with the occult. Read the Word of God, the Holy Bible. Keep your eyes and thoughts on Jesus to restore and heal your brokenness. I just prayed for you.
