How do I know what kind of RAM I need? Before I used to keep up with SD RAM, but now I don't know what kind of RAM or what speed it is. I know how to see what size my RAM is, but I want to buy more so I need to know what "speed" and what "kind".

the best way is to physically remove the ram and look at the tags , however this can be a pain for some , there are products such as belarc (www.belarc.com) that will give you the specs of your PC . including the ram

The simplist way I know of is to call your computer company (Dell, or whatever) and ask them..They all have 800 numbers.
