can we see inverted images in a plane mirror?
my teacher says it's possible and she's a genius so it must be correct so please give me the reason how it can be formed.

You can invert top and bottom with a flat mirror. Simply put it on the ceiling.

You can't see an inverted image (upside down) in a plain mirror but yes, the image gets inverted as far as right left orientation is concerned. So, lateral inversion is very much a part of being a mirror! Lateral means sides. So sides get inverted.

Not on a plane mirror but on a concave mirror! Check it with the concave surface of just a spoon!

Sides do not get inverted any more than top and bottom do; it's just your vertocentric viewpoint.
Spose you were a creature that lived on its side, now what would you see and feel?
