As long as it's Ann Couler, I am okay with it.

Everything that goes wrong in her presidency - and things will go wrong - will be traced back to her gender, fairly or not. For that reason I'd be a little uncomfortable with it. "A woman can't play the bluffing games a president has to play". "She was only elected because she's a woman". "She just doesn't have (excuse the expression) the balls for the job." Nonsense, of course, but that's what people would say. Personally, I can't wait for the day when ALL the candidates are women and no one bats an eye. And it's got to start somewhere.

I think it would be a good thing. Women have had a rocky road here in the US and this could be a big boost for the worth and character of women. If she is able to do a good job, she will have broken some stereotypes about women.
Conversely, if something goes wrong, people will say it's because a woman is president. Some women could take it to mind that women are superior to men or something else arrogant.
It could be good or bad. I think it's about time that women receive some recognition for how strong they are and how much they endure in America. It is time that we learned to be partners with our women, esp. in marriage. I'm not saying we should let women control us or do whatever they say/want. But it's time that we show them the same respect that we would have for a mother or sister (preferably one that we don't have issues with), showing them that we support them just as much as they support us.
How does all this relate to the Presidency? If a woman is good enough to run our country, she is good enough to be a partner for us in relationships and worthy of our respect socially and in business settings.

I think it is a much needed "breath of fresh air" from the norm. No offense to anyone, but the old powerful white men that have been our presidents in the past have not always done what is best for the country and they tend to be very stubborn, our current president is a golden example of that. In my opinion we have already hit rock bottom, so as far as I am concerned we can only go up from here. I think a female president would prioratize the right things, like education.

I am all for it as long as she is the best person for the job. I will not vote for a woman just because she is a woman. I want to know that her values match closely to my own and that she has an agenda that I can support. I see having a woman president as being no different than having a black or Asian president. They must firs be qualified to do the job.

Given the qualified individual, believe there are presently
folks of all Genders and colors that would be very effective
as President. However, to date -- personally don't see ANY-
ONE that I would be comfortable voting for, especially
Her magnificence Hilary

Well I think we did well with Margaret Thatcher, so I don't see anything wrong with a woman president if she's capable and experienced enough for the job. I think it might be a steadying force, and maybe it's what the US needs. Anything is better than Bush who says "tourists" for 'terrorists". Don't you agree?

I love the idea but the country isn't ready. Maybe if there was a war going on the country would be more open to the idea. At this time we are not ready.

I think the country would be ready if she is conservative. Many people are turned off by liberal feminists. That's why I think Hillary will lose. It doesn't matter who is president any way. Once politicians reach the point of presidential nominee, big corporations have them in their back pocket. Big business runs America.

I think it would be great! I like the idea of having diversity of any sort in a position that has always been held by a white man.
