Q1: Gentlemen: is this the sort of thing you do for a platonic female friend?

This is the first of three questions. Say you've known her since childhood, and you're both single now, but haven't seen each other for a long time?

Would you after an initial chance meet up, call her to invite her to a family dinner and introduce her to your brother's female friend (perhaps girlfriend) and your grandmother and cousin?

I think it sounds like a nice gesture, I only say that because you've known him forever, so maybe he wants to catch up and also let his family members be introduced to you =)
